Federal Work-Study – Stay on T.R.A.C.K. Tutor
JOB SUMMARY
The Federal Work Study will assist fellow students with understanding course materials and aid the Stay on T.R.A.C.K. staff with general clerical duties.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Provides academic support to students through individual or group tutoring. This can include helping students review class material, understand concepts, and solve problems.
- Offers direct assistance in the use of college technology/software needed for student success.
- Makes appropriate referrals to other campus and community resources as needed.
- Assists with the advisement/registration process by greeting students, aiding in the completion of the academic plan, and escorting students around campus.
- Performs clerical duties for the center including making copies, compiling packets, and answering telephones.
- Complies with the policies and procedures of the College and the Technical College System of Georgia;
- Maintains confidentiality;
- Works a flexible schedule as needed and arrives at work on time;
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service when interacting with students and the public;
- Exhibits cooperative, supportive and professional behavior toward colleagues and the administration;
- Acknowledges and maintains a clear distinction between professional and personal relationships with students;
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Current enrollment in a SRTC credit program at the location where seeking employment
- Eligible for participation in the Federal Work Study Program
- Satisfactory academic progress for Federal Student Aid programs
- Instructor Recommendation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to the minimum qualifications:
- Degree level student with a 3.5 or higher GPA in General Education courses
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Hourly
- $15/hour
- Not eligible for benefits
