The BCW Provider Relations Specialist serves as the primary support to Provider Relations Manager and a liaison between the contracted early intervention (EI) service providers and the State office. The Provider Relations Specialist will maintain records and provide updates on both state and federal requirements for contract providers, verify and track credentials for new and renewing contractors, foster collaboration with the Provider Relations Manager and Early Intervention (EI) Training and Support Manager to develop trainings for public and private EI service providers. -
Job Responsibilities:

- Responsible for leadership, development and coordination of provider contracts and telemedicine access.
- Responsible for assuring state and federal requirements of Part C are met to ensure Early Intervention service provider participation in infant and toddler early intervention services.
- Serves as an Early Intervention/BCW subject matter expert for provider related issues.
- Assists the Provider Relations Manager with recruitment and retention activities to increase and maintain the BCW Provider Network.
- Works with contract and program EI service providers for ongoing quality assurance and improvement.
- Provides expert guidance, technical assistance, and training to contract providers.
- Responsible for assuring compliance with state and federal requirements and guidelines through ongoing evaluation, oversight, and reporting.
- Work closely with Provider Relations Manager and EI Training Coordinator to coordinate educational and training programs for EI public/private service providers.
- Maintain training guidance for required BCW documentation components for public/private EI service providers.
- Works with Office of Inspector General (OIG) on compliance issues.
- Provides ongoing coordination and monitoring to assure timelines, reports, contract requirements for family support are completed as required.
- Researches and recommends best practices for provider enrollment.
- Maintain, update, and manage EI service provider records (e.g., enrollment, deactivation, professional development trainings, and licensure).
- Provides support for grant applications and needs assessments as required.
- Monitors contracts including collecting, reviewing, and maintaining private provider contracts to ensure both state and federal guidelines are being met.
- Assure compliance with state and federal requirements and guidelines by traveling to local BCW programs to conduct data and performance monitoring of public and private EI service providers.
- Responsible for effective collaboration between division and DPH programs, public health districts, agencies, providers, and partners.
- Perform other assigned duties and activities as required.
