POSITION: Admissions Assistant
REPORTS TO: Director of Admissions
SALARY RANGE: Mid to Upper $30’s, depending on education, qualifications and experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will perform administrative duties in the Admissions Department at the Forsyth County campus of our College.
Major Duties:
- Responds to requests and needs of visitors and students;
- Keeps abreast of admissions regulations, policies, and procedures;
- Provides information by telephone, written correspondence, and in person to interested parties regarding applicant procedures and admissions requirements;
- Maintains inventory of admissions materials;
- Works within the CRM (Target X) environment as well as the Banner Student Information System to enter various documents (test scores, transcripts, residency documents, etc);
- Scans and index documents;
- Assists in speaking with potential students as needed regarding the admissions process;
- Processes new student applications and related information, and prepares student files;
- Provides administrative assistance to Admissions Department;
- Assists with graduation and registration activities;
- Other work-related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent AND six (6) months of related work experience.
COMPETENCIES:
- Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs (i.e. Microsoft Office);
- Skill and ability to perform complex and varied duties in an efficient and confidential manner;
- Effective skill in managing multiple priorities;
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Effective skill in working with the public in a customer service environment;
- Effective oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including schedules that may not end until 6pm daily, with evening and weekend work on occasion – 40 hours weekly.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to competencies & minimum qualifications):
- Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university;
- Previous work experience in an Admissions office of a technical college;
- Work experience using a student information system, such as Banner;
- Work experience using a CRM, such as Target X;
- More than six (6) months of closely related work experience;
- Bilingual (Spanish/English).
