Job Salary $65,000

 

Job Specific Duties: Under general supervision, performs entry level engineering analysis, design, plan, review and inspection for work of moderate difficulty. Trainee participates in a formal training program to become proficient in the operational and organizational functions and structure of the Department. Job requires application of professional engineering concepts, principles, practices and methods sufficient to perform a broad range of engineering activities in a variety of work environments.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Qualifications.

 

STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or civil engineering technology, engineering with a civil specialization, construction engineering or other engineering/engineering technology field of study. Note: Additionally, foreign degrees require a completed Equivalency Evaluation by NCEES along with an official transcript.

 

 

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or civil engineering technology, engineering with a civil specialization, construction engineering or other engineering/engineering technology field of study. Note: Additionally, foreign degrees require a completed Equivalency Evaluation by NCEES along with an official transcript.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with others in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to reason and make sound, well-informed decisions.
  • Ability to apply innovative solutions in solving problems.
  • Ability to research, gather and organize information into a presentable understandable format.
  • Displays high standards of ethical conduct and understands the impact of violating these standards on an organization, self and others.
  • Working level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Committed to providing quality customer service.

  • Demonstrated experience in a transportation or civil engineering related environment.
