The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking a highly strategic, creative, and results-driven Director of Marketing to lead system-wide marketing and branding efforts that promote TCSG’s colleges, programs, and statewide impact. This position plays a critical role in shaping public perception, driving student enrollment, supporting workforce development initiatives, and ensuring brand consistency across all internal and external platforms. The Director will develop and oversee integrated marketing campaigns, digital strategy, and content development, while managing vendor relationships.  The position is open to TCSG employees only who meet the minimum qualifications below. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

·         Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with TCSG’s mission, goals, and statewide initiatives.

·         Lead the creation and execution of brand campaigns to increase awareness of TCSG’s colleges, programs, and impact on Georgia’s workforce.

·         Oversee content creation for digital, print, and multimedia platforms, ensuring alignment with system priorities and messaging standards.

·         Provide marketing guidance and support to the 22 technical colleges to strengthen local outreach and maintain brand consistency.

·         Collaborate with internal departments (Technical Education, Adult Education, Quick Start, WorkSource Georgia, etc.) to promote key initiatives.

·         Collaborate with Georgia state agencies on joint marketing campaigns.

·         Analyze and report on campaign performance metrics, ROI, and outcomes to refine marketing strategies.

·         Supervise marketing vendors and consultants to ensure cost-effective and high-quality campaign delivery.

·         Stay current with marketing trends, technologies, and best practices in higher education and workforce development.

 

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field from an accredited college or university. *AND* five (5) years of progressive experience in marketing, preferably in education, workforce development, public sector, or nonprofit environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

·         Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, or related field.

·         Experience working in higher education or with state agencies.

·         Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and external vendors.

·         Proven experience in digital and traditional media campaign development and management.

·         Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·         Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

·         Proficiency in digital marketing, data analytics, social media tools, and content management systems.
