Assistant Learning Management System Administrator (Part-Time)

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their fulltime Assistant Learning Management System Administrator in the Office of Technical Education.  Reporting to the Director of Learning Management Administration, this position will assist in the overall management of day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Learning Management System.  The Assistant Administrator will provide assistance to college coordinators, instructors, and facilitators with functional utilization of the Learning Management System.  The Assistant Administrator will work closely with the Applications Specialist in supporting all Enterprise third-party applications as well as the design, development and programming of internal LMS applications.   The position is open to all applicants that meet the minimum qualifications below.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

         Designs, codes, tests, modifies and debugs applications

         Works with LMS helpdesk providers to resolve issues

         Responds to and resolves college inquiries related to the LMS

         Reports, monitors and maintains LMS vendor communications and relays resolutions to end users as required

         Modifies and recommends design improvements as technology changes

         Assists in the management and oversight of the configuration and deployment of the Intelligent Learning Platform (ILP)

         Other duties and special projects as assigned

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

·         Associate’s degree Computer Information Science or related field *and* Three (3) years of work-related experience. Note:  Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's Degree, Computer Information Science or related field.

·         Webinar application (WebEx/Teams)

·         Learning Management System Administration experience (Blackboard, Canvas, D2L)

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Customer Service/Helpdesk Experience

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES 

         Ability to research and design queries and reports

         Capacity to work in a team environment.

         Excellent technical/technology/computer skills

         Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS)

         Skilled troubleshooter in a virtual learning environment

         Experienced in usage of webinar type platforms

         Strong client-facing skills, assertiveness, strong communications skills, leadership, self-starter

         Proficiency in interpersonal relations and dealing with multiple agency stakeholders

         Superior prioritization, time management, communication and organizational skills

         Solid technology know-how, including the ability to quickly familiarize with new products

         Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and communicate barriers to progress
