Administrative Assistant II – Career Services (PT)
Employment Terms: This job is a temporary, non-benefited, FLSA non-exempt position in Career Services that reports to the Director of Career Services
Salary: Targeted salary is commensurate with education and experience not to exceed the budgeted amount of $15.60
Schedule: 19 hours per week. Availability to work Monday through Thursday 8:00am – 5pm and Friday 8:00am – 4pm.
Minimum Qualifications (Job Code T6002):
Associate’s degree in Business Administrative Technology *and* One (1) year of work-related experience OR High school diploma *and* Two (2) years related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who have held an Administrative Support position; Computer proficiency (Word, Excel and PowerPoint required); Experience in personnel, accounting and/or purchasing, travel, event arrangements and communications, vendor relations, managing calendars, meeting minutes, updating bulletin boards, and program maintenance. Must possess excellent knowledge and experience in the use of advanced resources such as Internet and research skills and Google Docs. Self-starter, excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work under pressure in an empathetic and professional manner; ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, problem solve, and maintain effective relationships with multi-level personnel and customers. Sensitivity to confidential matters will be required.
Job Description Summary:
Under general supervision of senior management, performs advanced and diversified secretarial/clerical duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of organization policies and procedures in support of Career Services. Completes administrative tasks and special projects as requested not limited to the areas of personnel, budgeting and management of records.
