Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its full-time Student Activities Coordinator position in the Academic and Student Affairs division.  This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta. 

The Student Activities Coordinator supports the mission of the Office of Student Life & Activities by assisting in the coordination, execution, and evaluation of student life initiatives and programs. Under the supervision of the Director of Student Activities, the Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing student life through meaningful co-curricular experiences, providing administrative support, and ensuring smooth operational delivery of campus events and student organization activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, planning, and implementation of student organization events, programs, and activities.
  • Provide daily administrative and logistical support to the Director of Student Activities.
  • Support student clubs, organization advisors, and departments with purchase order processing and student life-related requests.
  • Monitor and manage event requests submitted by student organizations; assist with event planning and compliance.
  • Assist with the coordination of the Halle Exchange Program, including travel logistics, student communication, and support throughout the trip.
  • Maintain and update departmental web pages and actively manage Student Life & Activities’ social media presence.
  • Reserve rooms and coordinate event space setups in collaboration with facilities and campus services.
  • Provide event planning and execution services, including logistics, registration, materials preparation, and attendee evaluations.
  • Prepare contracts and track payments or fee collections for events, ensuring financial compliance.
  • Provide on-site support for events, including some evening and weekend responsibilities across both campuses and off-site venues.
  • Support cross-functional projects within the Division of Academic and Student Affairs as assigned.
  • Promote inclusivity, student leadership, and campus involvement through engaging and diverse programming.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and two years of related experience. 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and two (2) year of experience in student programming, student services, or event coordination.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, event planning tools, and social media platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Experience in a technical or community college setting.
  • Knowledge of student development theory and programming assessment.
  • Experience coordinating events or programs with diverse student populations.
