State Maintenance Manager - 165 AW/CE Garden City
This position is responsible for maintaining all facilities throughout the 165th Airlift Wing/ CRTC at Savannah HHIAP and two G.S.U.’s.
The purpose of this position is to manage and coordinate resources (materials, several reports, input data in several software programs, equipment and manpower) to preserve, maintain and restore buildings, structures and property owned, operated or leased by the Georgia Department of the Defense. Under limited supervision, this manages the Department's comprehensive facilities preventative maintenance program, developing internal procedures, applying sound principles used throughout the building and several maintenance trades, and performing tasks related to the repair and maintenance of DOD facilities. This manager also serves as a liaison to field Building managers dispersed throughout the base and G.S.U.’s. This position serves as location HR rep and is a conduit for all State staff to work with on State related issues.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implements Preventive Maintenance Program and follows up to make sure this program is being completed as scheduled.
- Organizes, implements and reviews state-wide maintenance and repair plans, activities and schedules.
- Maintains and repairs vehicles, tools, and equipment assigned to the facilities management program.
- Works with State and Federal RA to allocate the support needed for the maintenance and repair program.
- Works with base energy manager to ensure utilities conservation (water, sewer and garbage) policies are implemented.
- Works with Facility Manager to manage Fire Alarm system Prevention program.
- Works with Shop supervisors to manage HVAC, Structures, Grounds, Electrical, Plumbing, Housekeeping, and warehouse personnel daily
- Manages facility “Self-Help” program working with building managers and after 332 approval process.
- Assists in the development of annual budgets by determining the construction, maintenance, and/or repair for bench level needs.
- HR Representative for 165th, 224th, and 117th. Processes all necessary paperwork by required deadlines. Processes all Disciplinary Actions through the State Personnel Office. Sets up and coordinate interviews for State Vacancies and Drug Testing Coordinator for these locations.
- Rotates duty on after hour calls 24/7 and determine needs and call appropriate personnel as needed.
- Works closely with all shops to ensure base requirements and requests are filled in a timely manner.
- Inspects and follow-ups on the accuracy of all state personnel duties.
- Works in conjunction with Facility Manager, and Operations to prioritize all jobs based on Mission needs.
- Serves as Vehicle Control Officer for squadron.
- Serves as a representative on Hurricane ride out team.
**This position requires a Class A CDL.**
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to those applicants that meet the minimum qualifications, additionally possess:
- 4+ years experience and knowledge on facilities maintenance systems (Electrical, HVAC, Fire, DDC, Plumbing, structural)
- Experience with iEMS (Integrated Engineering Maintenance System)
