Pinewoods Behavioral Health Crisis Center is needing 12-hour days and 12-hour nights. Full-time or PRN
Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of quality individual care through the nursing process of risk assessment, admissions, discharges, administering medication, unit management, and crisis management on the Crisis Stabilization Unit. Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a 24 hour, 365 days a year short term medically monitored unit with beds for the purpose of providing psychiatric stabilization and detoxification from drugs and alcohol. It serves as a first line community-based alternative to hospitalization. The annual average length of stay in the crisis beds of the CSU does not exceed eight calendar days.
Collects appropriate assessment and screening information, to include bio-psycho-social information, psychiatric and medication history, and alcohol/drug information.
Establishes & oversees medication administration.
Monitors and records the biomedical status and conditions of all clients admitted, including all observed symptoms, reactions, treatments, and changes in the client’s safety status.
Participates in treatment team meetings and assists with development of care plans.
Collaborates with the team in providing health information and maintenance of the medical record.
Monitors the patient milieu for safety issues and assists with promoting a positive therapeutic environment.
Assists in the admitting, discharging and transferring process
