Job Description:
Under general supervision of the Dean of Industrial and Transportation Technology department, the Full-Time Construction Management Program Coordinator provides instruction and support to students in the Construction Management program. This position requires utilizing techniques that facilitate adult learning styles and demonstrates varying techniques.
Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
· Coordinates the Construction Management Program, to include equipment, supervision of adjuncts, and maintenance of program compliance.
· Demonstrated knowledge of current procedures in the carpentry, construction, and construction management fields.
· Ability to teach subjects relating to: blueprint reading, estimating, project management, building codes, construction design, etc.
· Contributes to the maintenance of approved carpentry, and construction management programs at Atlanta Technical College.
· Develops and reviews program and syllabi, goals and objectives according to approved curriculum and course syllabi standards.
· Displays willingness to receive input and undergo internal review of processes and procedures used in the classroom.
· Assists with curriculum development and maintain curriculum standards that are current.
· Ability to use appropriate teaching techniques to engage groups of students in different activities simultaneously.
· Ability to apply appropriate testing and grading procedures. including proper maintenance grade books and any other appropriate record-keeping.
· Ability to monitor students use of supplies, materials, and equipment.
· Advises and counsels students and maintain appropriate advisement records on each student.
· Attends meetings as required and appropriate
· Assists with student recruitment and job placement as requested by supervisor.
· Serves on committees as requested by supervisors.
· Maintains professional qualifications as appropriate to the field and as described by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG)Policy Manual.
· Follows rules and regulations as described by the TCSG Policy Manual, and other policies and procedures established by the institution
· Supports the mission and vision of the college, program and TCSG
· Promotes good public relations via contacts and regular communications with business, industry, and the public sector; and
· Performs additional duties, as assigned.

- Must possess and demonstrate a positive attitude, and well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Ability to multi-task and perform administrative duties for class management to deadlines in a timely manner.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse, adult learners.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited private or public postsecondary institution in Construction Management. NCCER certification preferred.
- Three (3) or more years of proven paid In-field experience in construction or construction project management.
- Occupational experience must meet SACSCOC requirements for teaching in the area of Instruction.
- Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
