Mathematics Academic Support Specialist
Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Full Time Mathematics Academic Support Specialist position, in the Arts and Sciences division. This position is located on Atlanta Tech's Main Campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
Job Description:
As a member of the Arts and Sciences division, a full-time Mathematics Academic Support Specialist assists students in building academic skills and competency in Mathematics. The Academic Support Specialist engages in one-on-one tutoring, workshops, and skill development. The Academic Support Specialist is housed in the Academic Success Center (ASC) and provides academic support to ensure students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become successful, independent learners.
MINIMUM QALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree *and* Three (3) years of work-related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Mathematics or related field in Math. Must maintain a regular 40-hour per week schedule. Must be able to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of people, meet deadlines, and work under minimal supervision. Must be able to lead seminars or workshop on a variety of academic topics for their colleagues and students. Must have a positive disposition and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
