DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Analyst to join our team responsible for managing the State’s Education Savings Account program and support the Georgia Education Savings Authority. As a Program Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing application and expense data and trends, developing program reports, identifying service provider opportunities and needs, and auditing data to ensure that funds are being used appropriately. Your analytical expertise will contribute to the success of our program by providing valuable insights and facilitating data-driven decision-making.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
· Utilize analytical techniques to analyze application and expense data, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.
· Develop comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders and assist in decision-making processes.
· Generate periodic reports on applicant demographics, fund allocation, and expenditure analysis.
2. Identification of Service Provider Opportunities and Needs:
· Collaborate with program management and policymakers to identify opportunities to enhance the range of service providers within the program.
· Analyze data on service provider availability, capacity, and quality to determine any gaps or unmet needs within the program.
· Conduct market research and benchmarks to identify potential service providers who align with the program's goals and requirements.
- Data Governance and Auditing:
· Conduct regular audits of the data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with program regulations.
· Identify data discrepancies or irregularities and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve any issues promptly.
· Monitor the appropriate use of funds and conduct periodic reviews to ensure that the allocated funds are being utilized appropriately.
- Program Improvement and Optimization:
· Analyze application data and trends to identify areas for program improvement or streamlining.
· Collaborate with program management and stakeholders to develop strategies for enhancing the program's effectiveness and efficiency.
· Assist in the design and implementation of data-driven initiatives to optimize the allocation of resources and improve program outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, policymakers, and IT professionals, to determine data collection requirements, improve data quality, and enhance reporting capabilities.
· Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner, both orally and in written reports.
· Provide support and assistance in data-related inquiries and respond to data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED and ten (10) years of professional level experience related to the area of assignment.
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in an educational or financial setting.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify meaningful insights.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar software.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Good communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or a master's degree is preferred.
