GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

 

Join the State of Georgia and help lead agencies through a transformation in adopting best practices in Risk Management.

 

The Loss Control and Safety Support Analyst will assist and support the Loss Control Officer position to monitor and evaluate comprehensive safety and loss control programs for the State of Georgia.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Under broad supervision, the position will perform a wide range of office and field administration duties for the loss control program areas.  Duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information.

 

This position may research, investigate, and review loss control and safety topics and matters to assist the Loss Control Officer in designing, developing, and monitoring policies, procedures and programs to meet the needs of State Agency clients.  This position may require 5% travel.

·         Strong negotiation skills

·         Ability to think strategically

 

This position may require occasional travel.

Completion of a pre-employment background check is required.

 

DOAS participates in a hybrid work environment and

Telework is encouraged with some days in the office required.

MINIMUM ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS: 

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience

 

OR Four years of related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following items below.  PLEASE CLEARLY INDICATE YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF THESE QUALIFICATIONS ON YOUR RESUME.   

  • Commercial Insurance Carrier Loss Control experience
  •  Insurance Agency Claims Operations experience
  •   Environmental Health and Safety experience
  •  Risk Management Information Systems platform experience
