POSITION: STUDENT AFFAIRS RECEPTIONIST – Forsyth County Campus
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS
SALARY RANGE: Low $30’s depending on education, qualifications and experience
EFFECTIVE DATE: Position is available January 2025
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major Duties:
· Operates a multi-line telephone in order to relay incoming and outgoing calls.
· Greets visitors and/or students and determines the nature of their business and provides appropriate information or refers to appropriate personnel.
· Answers questions and enters data into Target X and Banner from the Admissions Office email account
· Enters data from forms, records and/or reports using Target X & BANNER software as assigned by Admissions Specialist.
· Assists with recruiting and marketing activities as needed.
· Schedules and helps with administration of admissions placement testing.
· Directs and supervises clerical work-study students assigned to the department.
· Assists with the design and execution of special events, projects and activities as requested.
· Operates office machines and computers for the purpose of scanning and archiving documents, data entry and sorting mail.
· Other work-related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
· High school diploma or GED; experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite; effective oral and written communication skills; and experience working with the public in a customer service environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (in addition to minimum qualifications & competencies):
· Postsecondary training and education
· Previous work experience in a postsecondary educational setting
· Work experience using a student information system such as BANNER
· Work experience using a CRM system such as Target X
· Proficiency in speaking Spanish.
