GHP Female Resident Hall Assistant
Salary Details: 4 -Week, Summer Residential Assignment at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA (on-campus housing and dining plan are also provided) June 11, 2025 – July 12, 2025. Starting Salary: $3500. Resident Assistants are responsible for providing general supervision of high school age students and undertaking other duties, as assigned. Specifically, the Resident Assistant duties at GHP will include but not be limited to:
· Conducting nightly hall checks, morning room checks, and daily hall meetings
· Completing assigned desk and coverage duties:
· Conducting weekly seminars
· Maintaining acceptable appearance and conduct standards.
· Maintaining confidentiality
· Performing other duties as assigned by the GHP administration.
Note: All Resident Assistants must reside on campus at Georgia Southern University for the duration of the program – June 11, 2025- July 12, 2025.
Minimum Training & Experience: • Two years of full-time college academic experience as a student
Preferred Qualifications: POSITION SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have completed their sophomore year in college and be at least twenty years of age on or before June 1, 2024. Applicants must be able to communicate well in group and individual situations; to establish rapport with a wide variety of people; to organize activities to meet specific established goals; and to quickly evaluate potential issues and respond appropriately. PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS: • Past experience as a counselor for a residential camp program or in a residential academic setting with high school students. • Competency in applying technology to tasks as demonstrated by an intermediate level skill in the use of word processing and data platforms (ex. Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Outlook, email etc).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Ability to continuously stand or traverse up TO 3-5 miles per day
· Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
· Ability to move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· May occasionally work in temperatures above 100 degrees and constantly work in outdoor weather conditions.
· May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
· Will climb ladders and work off elevated surfaces on an occasional basis during each shift.
· Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
