EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

The Executive Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for fostering an environment of high engagement and effective brand management, building brand equity, and implementing a strategic marketing and communication plan. This role oversees public information and public relations, ensuring timely communication about governmental actions and proposals that may impact the college community, including faculty, administrators, and students. Additionally, the Executive Director manages the budgeting and fiscal aspects of the college’s marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
- Train, inspire, and guide team members toward accountability and achieving goal-oriented outcomes.
- Promote a broad understanding and awareness of GPTC’s mission, values, and programs.
- Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing plan, encompassing news/media relations, marketing communications/publications, special events, and web/interactive communications.
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships that align with and enhance the College's mission and services.
Marketing and Communications
- Plan and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy with clear, measurable benchmarks.
- Serve as the chief content developer and curator for the College, producing and overseeing content for publications, media statements, press releases, and campus stories.
- Conceptualize, write, and direct the design and production of campaign materials, including TV/radio ads, videos, and publications.
- Oversee website design, content strategy, and updates.
- Develop and sustain a strong social media presence.
- Foster a culture of quality service for internal stakeholders in the creation of marketing materials and College publications.
- Provide strategic communications and public relations guidance to the President and President’s Cabinet.
- Lead the planning and implementation of media and public relations programs that enhance the College's public image.
Community Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and stakeholders to create mutually beneficial opportunities.
