Cashier

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for the Cashier position in our Student Accounts division. This position is located at Atlanta Technical College’s Main Campus, just south of Downtown Atlanta.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Accounts, the Cashier is responsible for performing cashier and customer service duties. This includes collecting and posting daily fees from students for applications, registration, and various activities.

The job duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:

·         Balances daily receipts to cash and prepare deposits for all bank accounts.

·         Prepares and verifies daily accounts receivable records and maintains copies of all checks.

·         Maintains records of all student refunds, return (NSF) checks, and account balances.

·         Accept payment during student registration sessions.

·         Performs a variety of typing and filing tasks as needed.

·         Maintains accurate financial information in the Banner student account system, including proper application of payments, under general supervision.

·         Prepares various reports from Banner accounting for detailed information.

·         Assists in the generation of student account collection letters.

·         May organize and present information to students during registration.

·         Manage difficult student interactions professionally and resolve student inquiries effectively.

·         Determines the source of errors by researching accounting records.

·         Perform additional duties as assigned.

·         Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs

·         Knowledge of customer service standards

·         Interpersonal skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent AND Six (6) months work-related experience
