·       Job Description: Provide internal agency customers with excellent customer service

·       Prepare financial reports

·       Maintain agency chart fields in Team works Financials

·       Performs review and analysis of program and policy issues

·       Review financial trends and recommend appropriate feedback to relevant staff

·       Prepare and compile statistical analyses, projections, costing, or plans

·       Understand program business processes and all related financial impact

·       Assist with agency budgetary processes

·       Effectively communicate analytical methodologies to program staff

·       Communicate effectively through various mediums

·       Work effectively and efficiently with other agency staff

·       Other various duties related to agency budget and cost

·       Performs all other duties as assigned

Performance Aptitudes and Physical Requirements:

·       Requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading and visual inspection.

·       Requires the ability to review, classify, categorize, prioritize, and/or analyze data. Includes exercising discretion in determining data classification.

·       Occasionally stand or walk for long periods of time; moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

·       Requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.

·       Requires the ability to speak clearly. 

·       Requires the ability to hear and understand at a normal conversational level.

·       Requires the ability to occasionally continuously stand or walk for long periods of time; regularly requires bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items or materials occasionally of moderate weight up to 30 pounds.

·       Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving the evaluation of information against sensory, judgmental, or subjective criteria, as opposed to that which is clearly measurable or verifiable.

·       Requires a full range of hand and finger motion for data entry purposes.

·       The worker must have a valid Georgia driver’s license, insurance coverage and have the ability to drive for extensive periods as needed.

 

Entry Qualifications

Associate degree in accounting, business/public administration, or finance from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of fiscal analysis job-related experience; or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level Budget Analyst 2 (FIP011) or position equivalent.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, accounting, finance or any other area involving qualitative or quantitative analysis from an accredited college or university AND three years of professional experience in fiscal analysis.

OR

Six years of professional experience in fiscal analysis.

·       State of Georgia Government Experience

·       Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

·       Advanced Formulas

·       Pivot Tables and Reporting

·       Advanced Charting

·       Data Tables and Formatting

·       Knowledge of Team Works/PeopleSoft

·       Knowledge of PBCS (Planning Budget Cloud Solutions)

·       Understanding of Governmental Accounting
