DESCRIPTION:
The Administrative Assistant II performs advanced and diversified clerical duties associated with support functions for the Dean of Allied Health
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs and completes tasks and assignments associated with personnel support functions for the Dean’s Office, (purchase orders, travel arrangements, expense statements, program accreditation etc.);
Provides support to administrative staff
Completes complex processing of documents and/or transactions
Conducts research using a variety of sources to complete, prepare, assemble, process, and/or generate reports and other documentation, or to respond to inquiries, questions or requests;
Enters data from forms, records, reports, and/or other sources into computer for purposes such as maintaining databases;
Uses computer software as a tool for performing clerical assignments;
Monitors use of and maintains supplies, equipment and/or facilities
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field *OR* High school diploma or equivalent *and* Three (3) years of work-related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public
Superior oral and written communication skills, including document production.
Knowledge and experience in the use of the Internet, E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
Experience with Banner
Knowledge of Georgia Piedmont Technical College practices and procedures.
