Lanier Technical College - LTC

Lanier Technical College – Adult Education Department - (www.laniertech.edu) is conducting a search for the following part-time, non-benefits eligible, FLSA non-exempt position. NOTE: A background check is part of the selection process. POSITION:     PART-TIME ADULT EDUCATION HSE PROCTOR (GED/HiSET)– various

                          Locations within Service Delivery Area           

REPORTS TO:    HSE (GED/HiSET) TEST PROCTOR

WAGE RATE:     $15/hour; Approximately 5 hours per session.

EFFECTIVE:       Immediately

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for setting up the Pearson Vue testing lab at the Hall, Banks, Barrow, Jackson, Forsyth, Dawson, and Lumpkin County Adult Education Centers, 
and correctional facilities (Hall County Jail; Hall County Correctional Institute; and Forsyth County Detention Center). Delivers the GED/HiSET tests, monitors the examinees during the test, reports any testing irregularities, and sends the results to Pearson Vue after the tests have been completed. Is responsible for maintaining appropriate Pearson Vue and ETS certification. (NOTE:  Lanier Tech will provide the training to obtain the Pearson Vue and ETS certification upon hire.)  The proctor has administrative responsibility for the sites which includes submitting reports to the Supervisor. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.


COMPETENCIES:
• Skill in the use of computers and job-related software
• Skill in oral and written communication
• Skill in interpersonal relations
• Ability to maintain accurate records

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Postsecondary education

Previous work experience in the field of Adult Education

Bilingual (Spanish/English) language skills

Willingness to travel to different Adult Education locations within our Service Delivery Area
