Job Description:


The Unit Clerk is responsible for analyzing, filing, scanning, processing the discharged charts on the units, and notifying the clinicians when there are deficiencies in the charts. Will thin charts on a regular basis. Will ensure labs and consultation reports are received for scanning and filing. Will send information to outside facilities for continuity of care. Will enter data in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and prepare the correct forms from hospital policies to be used in the medical records. This position will also play a vital role in scanning medical records information for the physicians working as telepsychiatrists.

 

Employment Requirements
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our employees, individuals, and communities we serve, certain positions within DBHDD may require evaluations, vaccinations, professional licensure, and certifications. Licenses must be current and enable providers to practice within the State of Georgia. 

The following are a listing of evaluations and vaccinations that may be required for employees, including those not involved with direct care:

  • Drug Screening
  • TB Evaluation
  • Annual Influenza*

*Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.

High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of general office or administrative experience.
