The Georgia Department of Labor is currently seeking applications to fill the UI Program Associate 1 positions in the Board of Review Department at the Georgia Department of Labor Headquarters in downtown Atlanta.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The UI Program Associate 1 performs a variety of administrative support functions related to the hearing and the disposition of contested U.I. cases adjudicated by the Board of Review (BOR).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifies and properly handles UI appeal requests.
- Reviews, processes, and handles incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and other correspondence.
- Handles requests for records and CDs.
- Assists with the creation of files and ensures all files are up to date.
- Ensures the BOR is up to date on the status of pending and assigned cases.
- Provides assistance to external and internal customers about the unemployment insurance program, the appeals process and pending cases.
- Answers telephone calls and responds to customer inquiries throughout the day.
- Performs other duties as requested.
