The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their fulltime Training Specialist – Automation, Advanced Manufacturing Training in the Office of Quick Start. Quick Start offers customized, comprehensive workforce training to qualified new and expanding industries in the state of Georgia. At Quick Start, we know that each of our client companies is unique. Our high level of expertise and service delivers versatile, professional training in aerospace, biotechnology, pharma, automotive, advanced manufacturing, food processing, and more. This position will provide “World-class" level manufacturing technology training by engaging Quick Start client trainees in a highly interactive environment and providing workforce solutions to new and expanding manufacturers focused upon:
· Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Troubleshooting
· Automation and PLC Control Systems
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provides classroom and hands-on lab instruction.
· Assists in developing new course content for Industry 4.0 technology following Quick Start practices.
· Assists in designing and assembling new Industry 4.0 technology level training systems.
· Performs periodic on-site client training need assessments.
· Works with other instructors and leadership to ensure consistent methods and standards are maintained.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in a technical field and 2 years of experience in advanced manufacturing technology disciplines such as machine and batch processing, operation, and troubleshooting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
· Five (5) years of experience, in a related field.
· Lean Manufacturing knowledge/experience.
· Proficient computer and organizational skills.
