Training Manager - Eastern Operations

The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for a full-time Training Manager position in the Office of Georgia Quick Start. This position is located at the Hyundai Mobility Training Center of Georgia. This is not a remote position.
Under minimal supervision and working within general guidelines, the Training Manager performs duties of considerable difficulty. Responsibilities include managing project training activities, assisting with staffing levels, and supporting day-to-day operations of the regional Quick Start training centers. Duties also include staff recruitment, project budget development and implementation, reporting systems, and oversight of contractor activities. Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple training programs simultaneously. Domestic and international travel is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage and monitor project goals and objectives.
· Manage and guide project activities, maintain training records and reports, and conduct research to acquire new resources and technologies for project studies and training in assigned industries.
· Perform periodic audits of Quick Start project activities and work with Training Coordinators to ensure consistent methods and standards are maintained.
· Review project training analyses, training plans, budget preparation, and performance-based training programs.
· Coordinate with and assist the Directors to maintain appropriate contractor and Training Coordinator staffing levels.
· Assist with day-to-day operations of the regional Quick Start Training Centers including reporting systems, staff guidance and direction, contract reporting, and facilities utilization.
· Manage development and delivery of training as the leader of project teams composed of Training Coordinators, Training Specialists, Instructional Designers and Instructors.
· Create and implement processes and procedures to ensure the quality and effectiveness of instructional materials and instruction is maintained.
· Provide decision making in the absence of the Directors.
· Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field, and five years of training and development experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience should include demonstrated knowledge and experience in the principles and practices of training, human resource management, and project management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
