Job Description

The Program Consultant II will play a critical role in supporting the administration of the Promise Scholarship Program. This position will organize key aspects of communication, application processing, vendor engagement, and operational support to ensure program effectiveness and alignment with established goals and guidelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, and experienced in educational program coordination or scholarship administration.


Key Responsibilities:

Program Communications

  • Maintain the communications plan including templates, key dates, and distribution channels.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate approving authorities all outgoing communications related to the Promise Scholarship Program.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information to the necessary parties.
  • Update the program website regularly to reflect accurate program information, deadlines, and FAQs.
  • Create and schedule social media content in coordination with the communications team to boost program visibility and engagement.

Application & Program Operations

  • Conduct provider operations reviews to verify alignment with scholarship guidelines and policies.
  • Review and process student applications, including updates and changes as needed.
  • Review and evaluate private school applications for program eligibility and compliance.
  • Coordinate for approvals the vendor and supplier educational submissions that align with the program criteria.
  • Communicate with providers and suppliers the program policies, procedures, and changes.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain a structured and organized file system for all program documents and correspondence.
  • Record and distribute meeting minutes for internal and stakeholder meetings.
  • Assist with tracking program milestones, reporting metrics, and recommending process improvements.
  • Assists in developing and understanding the department’s budgetary needs.
  • Coordinate information and data requests from external entities.
  • Analyze complex and comprehensive research material related to the program. 
  • Respond to telephone inquiries from external entities.
  • Prepare reports as directed.
  • Maintain and update project plans and status updates on program deliverables.

 


Qualifications:

Required

  • High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience required or any other combination of education and professional experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the job.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with digital communication tools and social media platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in program coordination, scholarship administration, or educational services.
  • Experience working with scholarship management systems or platforms such as Odyssey.
  • Knowledge of private and public school systems.
