Job Summary:

Under general supervision, installs, configures, and supports a local area network, wide area network, internet system, computers, desktops and/or mobile devices. Performs necessary maintenance to support network availability.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 

Under limited supervision: Assumes responsibility for most projects.

Works with team in the software/hardware support to an enterprise network environment.

Implements, maintains, and monitors various network hardware/software systems.

Provides technical assistance to computer users and vendors.

Provides technical guidance to other members of the team.

Design, configure, and support Intune and SCCM platforms.

           

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Qualifications

Entry Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience at the lower-level Systems Administrator 1 (ITP040) or position equivalent.    

Agency Specific Qualifications:

Possess intermediate to advanced level knowledge and experience with Mobile Device Management (Intune, SCCM).

Possess intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience within an AD and Azure environment.

Experience packaging and deploying applications to specific groups of users or devices.

Demonstrated experience configuring and managing applications, including updating them remotely.

Experience generating reports on device and application compliance and security status for management.

Demonstrated experience using scripting languages like PowerShell to automate routine tasks.

Experience monitoring device compliance, identifying non-compliant devices, and investigating security alerts.

Demonstrated experience creating and enforcing security baselines (like Microsoft Defender, BitLocker) and compliance policies (such as OS version, encryption, and antivirus status.)

Demonstrated experience understanding and applying procedures and policies related to information technology.

Demonstrated experience facilitating team building by encouraging cooperation and trust.

Work experience in multi-user systems and/or network administration.

Demonstrated experience evaluating customer requests and identifying current system requirements to recommend solutions.

Demonstrated experience developing strategies using new technology to manage and improve network environment.

Demonstrated experience in technology assessment.

Demonstrated experience developing creative options for problem solving.

Demonstrated experience independently managing multiple assignments.

Demonstrated strong customer service orientation, anticipating and meeting the needs of clients in a time sensitive environment.

Experience negotiating to find mutually acceptable solutions.

Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

Agency Preferred Qualifications:

·         Knowledge and Experience with Intune.

·         Knowledge and Experience with SCCM. 

·         Knowledge and Experience with Active Directory.

·         Knowledge and Experience with Microsoft Azure.

·         Knowledge and Experience deploying solutions enterprise wide.

·         Knowledge and Experience researching and troubleshooting new and existing technologies.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL GDOT JOBS

Good Employment Standing:

In accordance with the Interview and Selection Process (ISP), an applicant must have no active disciplinary actions to be in good employment standing.  Actions that may disqualify an applicant include letters of reprimand (active for 12 months after issuance date); suspension without pay or disciplinary demotion (active for 12 months from the effective date); Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Leave Restriction Plans (active until 12 months after the date of conclusion).  In addition, an employee must have an overall ePerformance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation.  Please note that Memorandums of Concern are not considered disqualifying factors.  Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employee’s favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.
