Job Title: Intake and Evaluation Manager- Region 4 Field Office- Thomasville
Pay Grade: L
Workplace: Hybrid- 3 to 5 days in office per week
Travel: Roughly 30%
Job Summary:
Manages the intake process for intellectual/developmental disability (IDD) services in a manner that is responsive to individuals and families and partner agencies
Provides excellent internal and external customer service by maintaining constructive working relationships with Division of IDD staff, individuals in services, families, provider organizations and other state agencies involved in program implementation
Implements and maintains standard statewide procedures for processing applications, scheduling assessments, and reviewing and responding to requests from providers
Supervises Regional Operations Analysts, Social Workers, the Regional Intake Coordinator, and one or more administrative staff
Monitors and maintains records of productivity of all supervisees and provides regular feedback on performance; notifies the DD RSA of performance issues and addresses unresolved issues consistent with DBHDD Human Resources processes
Collaborates with the Director of Eligibility to ensure that waiver requirements regarding notification of eligibility determinations are met and to ensure completion of adaptive assessments for eligibility reviews
Provides or facilitates trainings as needed on topics within the scope of I&E functions
Serves as regional expert on IDD Connects; provides or facilitates technical support to staff and providers on common issues with IDD Connects
Collaborates with the Regional Nurse Manager and Regional Board-Certified Behavior Analyst to schedule nursing and behavior assessments
Oversees the ISP Clinical Review process, troubleshooting of any issues with service planning and prior authorizations
Collaborates with Level of Care RN on approval and tracking renewals to prevent lapses in authorizations
Oversees the reporting and tracking of state funded services by Operations Analysts and forwards findings to DD RSA
Notifies DD RSA of barriers to health and safety identified by regional clinicians
In conjunction with the DD RSA, oversees the preparation of routine and ad hoc reports based on requests from internal and external entities
Acts on behalf of the Regional Services Administrator in the absence of RSA; this may include being available after hours for calls
Other duties as assigned by the Regional Services Administrator; this may include assisting in other regions
Ability to telework and maintain productivity as necessary
Limited statewide travel including occasional overnight stays
Experience working with individuals supported via waiver funded intellectual/developmental disability services
Knowledge of and experience working with IDD Connects
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel
