Summary
The Residential Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential program, ensuring a safe, supportive, and structured environment for residents. This role includes managing staff, facilitating resident opportunities for growth, and maintaining compliance with regulations and policies.
Responsibilities
· Program Management:
o Develop and implement residential program policies and procedures.
o Monitor program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to enhance services.
· Staff Supervision:
o Recruit, train, and manage residential staff.
o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and support.
· Resident Support:
o Ensure that the needs of residents are met and that they have access to necessary resources and services.
o Report and decline in medical needs to nursing staff and work closely with the nursing department to ensure compliance.
· Safety and Compliance:
o Maintain a safe residential environment by adhering to safety regulations and standards.
o Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing residential programs.
· Budget Management:
o Assist in developing and managing the residential program budget.
o Monitor expenditures and implement cost-effective measures.
· Collaboration:
o Work collaboratively with community agencies, stakeholders, and families to support resident success.
o Foster partnerships that enhance the resources available for residents.
· Crisis Management:
o Respond effectively to emergencies and crises, providing guidance to staff and residents.
o Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed.
· Adaptability and Independence:
o Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing situations and solve problems effectively.
o Work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential management or relevant field.
· Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
· In-depth knowledge of residential treatment programs and applicable regulations.
· Ability to adapt and work independently in a dynamic environment.
