HVAC Technician - 165th AW/CES Garden City

Under minimal supervision, performs various tasks in connection with adjustment, repair, and operation of Heating Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. Performs preventive maintenance tasks which include the systematic inspection, detection, troubleshooting and correction of problems. Maintain and troubleshoot DDC controls systems related to HVAC operations. Position is located at GA ANG 165th AW Civil Engineering Squadron in Garden City, Georgia. May also perform other maintenance related duties according to agency need and employee skill level.

 

Note: This position requires a valid driver's license.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  Preference will be given to those applicants that meet the minimum qualifications and also possess:

 

Completion of HVAC education/training program and/or Class 2 or Universal Refrigerant Processing License.
 
Additional Information:

 

Selected applicant must meet the following standards:

 

1. Must pass a pre-employment background check (which includes criminal records check, driver's history, and verification of work history) and a post-hire federal background investigation.

2. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and will be placed in the pool for the State Random Drug Testing Program.

3. Eligible to work in the U.S.

4. Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

High school diploma or GED AND Three years of experience in building repairs and maintenance or in the specific area of assignment OR Two years of experience at the lower level General Trades Tech 2 (FET031) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require area specific certifications/licenses.
