 This is a 2pm-10pm Shift

Job Descriptions:

Under supervision, guards, patrols, or monitors premises, facilities and other areas to prevent theft, violence, and infractions of rules. 

Secures and protects facility in case of fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events. Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities. Warns persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehends or evicts violators from premises, using force if necessary. 

Responds to fires, natural disasters, or other hazardous events. Patrols premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. 

Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against and maintain security of premises. Inspects assigned area for fire or environmental hazards.

 Escorts or drives motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations and to provide personal protection. Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.

Maintain appropriate log of daily activities irregularities on computer, ability to identify signs of unlawful entry, patrol assigned areas, operates alarm panels, handle crisis situations according to established guidelines.

Monitors premises to prevent theft, violence or infraction of policies. Operates and inspects emergency vehicles. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Law Enforcement experience 

Peace Officer Certified or eligible

Customer service oriented, clerical, and admin skills a plus 

Experience writing reports 

Valid Georgia Driver License

*Additional Information - Selected applicant must meet the following standards:

 

1.     Must pass a pre-employment background check (which includes criminal records check, driver's history, and verification of work history) and a post-hire federal background investigation.

2.     Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and will be placed in the pool for the State Random Drug Testing Program.

3.     Eligible to work in the U.S.

4.     Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. 

 

**High School and College Degrees Must Be From an Accredited Institution** 

 

High school diploma or GED. Note. Some positions may require P.O.S.T. certification.
