- Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff.
- Supervises the cooking, preparation, serving, and storage of food.
- Makes food supply requisition, conducts facility and equipment sanitation and maintenance inspections.
- Monitors the quality of food service. Supervises and plans work of assigned staff.
- Supervises and plans work for assigned staff.
- Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware.
- Cleans, peels, slices and trims foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances.
- Ensures food service equipment is properly operated and maintained.
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
- Observes safety, sanitation and health rules and standards.
- Performs and/or supervises the cooking, preparation and temporary storage of food and beverages.
- Plans, schedules, prioritize and assign work to food service workers.
- Replenishes supplies of food, condiments, and equipment at steam tables and service bars.
- Stores food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage.
- Supervises meal service and distribution, including the set up and disassembly of dining areas.
- Unpacks and stores supplies, raw and prepared food products
