Position Title: Financial Examiner for Non-Depository Financial Institutions
Pay Grade: J
Starting Salary: $44,300.00
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.

Job Summary:
Under supervision, confirms the integrity of financial statements, verifying assets, determining liabilities, and ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations by interpreting laws, rules, and regulatory guidance. Reviews audit records, transactions, reports, and financial data for licensed mortgage brokers, lenders, and servicers. Analyzes assigned regulatory components as outlined in the Multistate Mortgage Committee (MMC) Exam Rating System. As proficiency is gained, reviews, analyzes, and produces commentary on mortgage licensee compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements; including, but not limited to, anti-money laundering, information security regulations, and credit analysis duties.
Essential Job Functions:
· Performs mortgage broker, mortgage lender, and mortgage servicer examination duties, including financial statement analysis; analysis of earnings, capital, liquidity, asset/liability management; review and analysis of Mortgage Call Reports, internal controls, audit oversight, and policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and regulations.
· Perform and prepare Tier 1 Examination Letters.
· Performs credit analysis duties on examinations.
· Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments, and attends training as scheduled. Apply pertinent knowledge to the performance of other responsibilities.
· Serves as a spokesperson and liaison for the Department by communicating effectively with non-depository personnel, officers, and directors, as well as other agencies.
· Performs administrative functions necessary in order to perform examination responsibilities and comply with the Policy requirements of the Department.
· Travels to non-depository financial institutions to perform job duties and to locations for required
