Coordinator of Health Program Accreditation position in the Office of Technical Education Initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Healthcare Initiatives, this position is responsible for overseeing accreditation processes for nursing and allied health programs across the system. The coordinator will ensure compliance with accreditation standards, support program readiness, and lead professional development initiatives for program chairs and faculty. This role is critical to maintaining the quality and integrity of health care education programs across the system. The Coordinator of Health Care Accreditation will play a key role in ensuring institutional readiness, supporting faculty retention, and strengthening leadership capacity statewide.

· Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
· Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (ARCSTAS)- Surgical Technology
· Alliant Georgia Medical Care Foundation (GMCF)- Nurse Aide
· Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP)- Paramedicine
· Georgia State Office of EMS- Paramedicine
· Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)- Respiratory Care
· Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS) –Echocardiography
· Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) – Radiology Technology
· Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB)- Medical Assisting
· National Accreditation Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)- Medical Laboratory Technology
This role is essential to sustaining program excellence, faculty retention, and leadership development across the system.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage and coordinate accreditation activities for health care programs, including nursing, medical laboratory technology, respiratory therapy, paramedic technology, radiologic technology, surgical technology, and others.
· Review and evaluate program documentation, including Self-Study Reports, syllabi, handbooks, meeting minutes, and faculty profiles.
· Conduct site visits to verify submitted materials and assess program quality.
· Contribute to site visit reports and participate in evaluation panels as needed.
· Monitor timelines and ensure timely submission of accreditation materials.
· Provide strategic support to programs experiencing leadership transitions or delays.
· Develop and deliver professional development workshops focused on accreditation readiness and leadership training.
· Promote continuous improvement and proactive planning for accreditation compliance
· Provide mentoring and instructional support to all health program chairs/deans
· Conduct Mock Accreditation visits in preparation for the accreditation visits.
· Stay current with evolving accreditation standards and communicate updates to program leaders.
· Ensure compliance with state and federal policies, as well as TCSG Board policies, in all program activities.
· Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in a health-related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Master of Science in Leadership, Health Care Administration, or related Health Care Degree
· Minimum of five years of experience in post-secondary health care education or leadership of post-secondary health care programs.
· Demonstrated experience with accreditation processes and program evaluation.
· Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional methods, and current trends in health care education
- Evidence of professional contributions in scholarship, research, or service is preferred.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
· Effective communication and facilitation skills, including experience with virtual platforms.
· Familiarity with educational technologies and data-driven evaluation practices.
