The Georgia Department of Labor is accepting applications to fill the Central Office Specialist position in the UI Appeals Department located at Georgia Department of Labor Headquarters in downtown Atlanta.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives, reviews, processes, and dockets appeal requests.
Investigates the facts related to each appeal request, and evaluates the evidence to conclude what actions to take.
Creates and maintains electronic appeal files for appeal hearings.
Sends and mails hearing files to interested parties.
Ensures Tribunal records are updated with proper notes and entries.
Ensures the Tribunal and Administrative Hearing Officers are up to date on the status of assigned cases and hearing files.
