Cashier
This job is a full time, benefited, FLSA non-exempt position in the Administrative Services Division that reports to the Manager – Accounting.
Salary: 36,400/yr.
Minimum Qualifications: (Job Code 61825)
High School diploma or equivalent * and * Six (6) months work related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the minimum qualifications, a two-year degree from a technical college. Two or more years work related experience with an Accounting Certificate or Associates Degree. Accurate 10-key skills with a working knowledge of accounting systems. Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision. Must be able to handle difficult customers with patience and tact. Good organizational skills. Knowledge of Banner and/or PeopleSoft accounting software highly desirable.
Job Description Summary:
Under general supervision, the Cashier is primarily responsible for assisting students with payments, accepting these payments and balancing the receipts to the system. Must be able to travel between campuses when required. Also assists the business office staff with daily workload and special projects as identified and assigned. Must be available to work between the hours of 7:30am-6:30pm.
