Accounts Receivable Supervisor
Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for the Accounts Receivable Supervisor (Full-time) position in Student Accounts. This position is located at Atlanta Technical College’s Main Campus, just south of Downtown Atlanta.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Accounts, the Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, guiding, and monitoring accounts receivable accounting transactions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor job duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:
· Correctly apply accounting principles according to GAAP, Governmental Accounting Standards, applicable state and federal guidelines and TCSG fiscal policies and procedures.
· Analyzes, reconciles, and approves accounting data and transactions.
· Adequately analyzes receivable transactions on reports, as well as accounting systems and sub-systems.
· Requests and deposits state, federal, and other funds to ensure adequate cash balances in Operating Bank account.
· Carefully reviews documentation, entries and reports for accuracy and completeness.
· Reviews complex accounts receivable billing documentation and other information to arrive at logical and accurate accounts receivable billing statement.
· Promptly advises supervisor of any balancing problems with deposit slips such as incorrect amounts.
· Prepares standard statutory, regulatory and GAAP financial and/or accounting reports.
· Posts payroll deposits monthly and ensure they are reconciled with payroll.
· Maintain accurate records on student scholarships and balance to General Ledger.
· Prepares annual Petty Cash, Issuance of Petty Cash reimbursements, and post End of Year Receivables.
· Supervises Cashiers, which includes training, assisting with disputes, and managing transaction window coverage.
· Responsible for maintaining and issuing change for the Cashier window and Bookstore buyback.
· Responsible for assisting with state and federal refunds.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s degree in accounting or closely related field AND Five (5) years of experience in accounting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:
• Bachelors' degree in a related field and two (2) years of government accounting experience.
• Two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Banner database, State of Georgia PeopleSoft Financials, and Workday.
