Central State Hospital (CSH) is in Milledgeville, the lake country of central Georgia and is Georgia’s antebellum capital.  CSH is approximately 2 hours from Atlanta, 2 hours and 30 minutes from Savannah and 1 hour and 45 minutes from Augusta.

Summary

The Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating the scheduling management system to support 24 hours 7 days a week coverage of direct care staff for DBHDD hospital(s).

 Shift:  7am - 3:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, update and post work schedules for nursing and non-clinical direct care staff for the multiple direct care unit(s).

 

Update staffing requirements based on census, acuity, attendance; ensure that staffing levels are adequate to support coverage requirements.

 

Respond to requests for time off; schedules staff to attend required training; incorporates business unit practices, i.e. holdover, maximum hours worked, rotating weekends into schedules.

 

Documents call outs, holdovers, and other matters impacting staffing, ensure that data is captured and available in daily, weekly and/or monthly staffing metrics and reports.

 

Maintains, manages and updates data required to add/delete/change agency staff to scheduling management system.

 

Evaluate schedules and identify problem areas.

 

Contact contingent staffing to fill shifts as needed.  Develop and update weekly short interval schedules when needed.

Provide business unit reports to assist in evaluating processes, procedures, and systems.

Vacation15 days each year up to 5 years of service; 18 days each year from 5-10 years of service; 21 days each year for 10 + years of service

Sick Leave: accrual at a rate of 10 hours per month (15 days each year)

Bachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of experience related to area of assignment. Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
