The State Accounting Office (SAO) provides accounting and financial reporting expertise for the State and is statutorily responsible for statewide financial reporting. The SAO also provides enterprise oversight and management of the State’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, accounting policy development, financial business process improvement recommendations, and management of the payroll and accounting shared service centers.
Position Description:
The State Accounting Office is seeking a skilled Webmaster to design, develop, and maintain SharePoint-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Automate, Power Apps, and custom development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and .NET. This role requires expertise in workflow automation, custom web parts, and integration with Microsoft 365 services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop and customize SharePoint solutions, including web parts, workflows, event receivers, custom lists, content types, and master pages
· Design and implement SharePoint sites and portals, ensuring optimal user experience and information architecture
· Utilize SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), JavaScript, and .NET to enhance functionality
· Integrate SharePoint with other systems using APIs and web services
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SharePoint functionality and performance
· Participate in requirements gathering and translate business needs into technical specifications
· Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions
· Build various complex dynamic forms using the delivered SharePoint functionality
· Stay up to date with the latest SharePoint trends, technologies, and best practices
· Document code, configurations, and deployments
· Provide support and training to end-users on SharePoint functionalities
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of our SharePoint development processes
· Manage SharePoint permissions, governance, and security best practices
Skills and Competencies:
· Proven experience in SharePoint development
· Strong understanding of SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server, and related technologies
· Proficiency in SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other front-end technologies
· Knowledge of REST API, Graph API, and SharePoint PnP scripting
· Familiarity with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and other SharePoint development tools
· Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
· Strong communication and collaboration skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Minimum Qualifications:
This position will be filled at a level commensurate with the selectee’s education and experience at one of the following levels.
Webmaster 2 – ITP051
Pay Grade M
Salary range: $56,310.72 - $73,677.24
High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience in designing, editing, and maintain a business web site.
Webmaster 3 – ITP052
Pay Grade N
Salary range: $62,331.12 - $81,955.29
High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of experience in designing, editing, and maintain a business web site.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
· 5+ years of SharePoint development and administration experience, including SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server
· Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
· Knowledge of Azure Active Directory and SharePoint security
· Experience with SharePoint migrations and upgrades
· Certifications in SharePoint development
· Experience with Agile development methodologies
