Vice President For Student Affairs
Under minimal supervision of the President, the Vice President for Student Affairs serves as a member of the senior leadership team and provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for all student affairs functions. This role is responsible for advancing enrollment, retention, and student success through a comprehensive, student-centered system of services that supports students from initial engagement through completion.
The Vice President establishes a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and high-quality service across all student-facing functions and ensures alignment with the college’s mission and strategic priorities.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Serves as a member of the college’s senior leadership council and contributes to institutional strategy, planning, and decision-making;
Provides strategic leadership for Student Affairs aligned with institutional goals for enrollment growth, retention, and completion;
Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a comprehensive system of student services, including admissions, recruitment, dual enrollment, financial aid, registration, career services, orientation, military and veteran support, special populations, student life, and commencement activities;
Leads enrollment management strategies in collaboration with Academic Affairs to ensure students are effectively recruited, retained, and supported to completion;
Partners with Academic Affairs to align course scheduling, program pathways, and student support services to enable on-time completion;
Ensures efficient, timely, and student-centered admissions and onboarding processes, including clear communication standards and service expectations;
Ensures full compliance with federal and state regulations related to financial aid and student services, including audit readiness and accurate, timely processing;
Utilizes data, dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor outcomes, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement in student success and service delivery;
Leads strategies to effectively serve military-affiliated students, including active duty, veterans, and dependents, supporting transition to civilian careers;
Oversees the effective use of student information systems and CRM platforms to improve communication, tracking, and student engagement;
Manages and oversees the budget and financial operations of the Student Affairs division;
Develops, implements, and evaluates policies and procedures to ensure effectiveness and compliance with institutional, state, and federal requirements;
Represents the college internally and externally through participation on boards, committees, and community organizations;
Establishes expectations for performance and holds direct reports accountable for service delivery, outcomes, and continuous improvement;
Supervises staff, conducts evaluations, and ensures a culture of professionalism, accountability, and student-centered service; Conducts regular assessment of services and implements improvements based on data and feedback;
Performs other duties as assigned by the President.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited academic institution in a related field and a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible management and/or leadership experience, including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and job-specific experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and competencies may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications (In addition to the minimum qualifications)
Five (5) or more years of senior-level leadership experience within the Technical College System of Georgia or a similar environment;
Demonstrated experience leading enrollment growth, retention, and student success initiatives;
Experience serving military-affiliated students;
Experience with Banner, TargetX, Campus Logic, or similar student information and CRM systems;
Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and drive accountability.
Physical Demands
Work is typically performed in an office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings. The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects of a light to medium weight. Full range of hand and finger motion may be utilized for data entry purposes.
