Technical Instructor - Game Design Instructor (FT)
DESCRIPTION
Georgia Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications for a Full Time Game Design Instructor for the Division of Education & Business. Under general supervision, prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical/occupational courses at a technical college. Instruction will include both lecture and laboratory activities and may involve internet classes.
The instructor must possess the ability to teach all phases of the program curriculum to adults or high school students participating in college-level classes at the college or at participating area high schools. The instructor will report to the Division Chair & the Dean of Education & Business.

Demonstrates the use of appropriate teaching techniques
Demonstrates the use of appropriate testing and grading procedures including proper maintenance of grade books and any other appropriate record-keeping required
Understands and is experienced in practices and procedures necessary to effectively teach the subject matter
Follows approved course syllabi
Completes all documentation related to assigned courses in a timely manner
Maintains an accurate inventory of all assigned property
Day, evening and online classes may be available based on scheduling needs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Game Design.
Appropriate degree must reflect the requirements of the College’s accrediting agency.
The successful candidate may also hold an Associate’s Degree in Game Design with commensurate experience.
Requires strong computer skills, communication skills, and ability to interact effectively with a diverse student population. Position may require day/evening/distance learning classes and activities. Position may involve courses at Dual Enrollment Academies or High School sites. The successful candidate must be willing to work teaching shifts that might require split teaching days, and/or multiple campuses.
