Supply/Warehouse Clerk 2 - Savannah RYDC - Savannah, GA (NSC)
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, receives, stores and issues materials, equipment, and other items. Perform manual and clerical tasks involved in the distribution of supplies and materials.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pick-up and/or delivers to other agency sites supplies and equipment
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and location based on turnover, environment factors, and physical capabilities of facilities
- Issues uniforms and/or equipment
- Requisition supplies and uniform items to maintain adequate inventory levels
- Mark items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment
- Packs and unpacks supplies and equipment to be stocked or stored in stockrooms and warehouses
- Receives and counts items, and records data manually or using a computer
- Stores items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas
- Verifies inventory of supplies and equipment by comparing to physical counts
- Follow all safety guidelines for the operation of equipment and chemicals
- Cuts and maintains lawns and grass.
- Daily lawn care to include watering, raking, and blowing leaves
- Perform regular weeding
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED AND One year of experience in shipping and receiving.
- Or one year of experience at the lower-level Supply/Warehouse Clerk 1 (FES010) or position equivalent.
- Note: Some positions require possession of valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Operate a variety of lawn equipment (i.e. tractor, zero-turn, small power tools)
- Knowledge of how to repair and maintain equipment
- Operate a forklift (Certified)
- Enjoy working outdoors in a variety of temperatures
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, and bending down during a shift
- Flexibility to travel around the state
