Student Activities Specialist (Part-Time)
Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Student Activities Specialist (Part-Time) position in the Academic and Student Affairs division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
Under the supervision of the Director of Student Activities, the Student Activities Specialist (Part-Time) is responsible for performing specialized duties in support of the Office of Student life and Activities and the Division of Academic and Student Affairs. This is a part-time position, twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:
· Assist in the development, planning, and implementation of student organization events, programs, and activities.
· Provide administrative support to Director of Student Activities.
· Assist Club and Organization advisors and departments with PO and student life requests.
· Assist with event management and oversight, including checking student organization requests.
· Maintain appropriate areas of the department webpage and social media presence.
· Arrange room reservations and event space set-up.
· Provide professional client services in the planning, organizing, and managing of internal and external events, including logistics, registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials and pre-and post-event evaluations.
· Assist with producing contracts and invoices for events, monitor the collection of fees, and provide payment information to appropriate personnel.
· Assist various departments within the Division of Academic and Student Affairs with various projects as needed; and
· Perform additional duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and demonstrate the following:
· High school diploma or equivalent AND Six (6) months of related work experience.
· Must be energetic, highly motivated, self-directed, open to new ideas and customer focused.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:
· Associate degree AND/OR Three (3) or more years of related work experience.
· Strong oral and written communication skills, organization, and planning skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
