Preferred Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of state of Georgia purchasing rules and regulations.
- Five years of experience managing bonds funds or bond funded projects.
- Five years of experience managing multiple regular operating budgets.
- Prior experience preparing and/or submitting annual budgets (capital budgets preferred).
- Sound working knowledge of the GDC budget structure.
- Five years of experience managing legal contracts, real property, leasing, and vehicle management.
- Sound working knowledge of state property and inventory policies, as well key and tool control policies.
- Sound working knowledge of safety and security regulations as construction job sites.
Comments/ Notes:
- This position is based in Forsyth, GA - SOSTC, Lies Hall.
- This position serves as the manager of the Operations and Compliance unit within Engineering and Construction Services.
- The Operations and Compliance Unit include bonds management, safety and security compliance auditors, real estate/property/leasing management, contract oversight, privatized contract maintenance oversight, and vehicle management.
- Limited travel to construction job sites, GDC facilities, conferences, and meetings will be required. Most travel are daily trips, but some overnight travel may occur.
