Job Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), manages coordinates and directs the day-to-day activities of the district’s budget, finance, and contracts. The incumbent will provide oversight and management of a multi-million-dollar budget consisting of state, federal and other funds. Oversees development and implementation of systems design changes to optimize revenue maximization initiatives for the district. Interacts with county health departments and the Department of Public Health to support public health initiatives. Creates and maintains a high-performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation. Supervises professional, para-professional, and clerical staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree and/or recognized independent certification in fields such as Accounting, Financial & Grants Management, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Public Administration.
- In-depth knowledge of and experience with governmental budgeting, complex budgets, cost allocation, Medicaid revenue, automated financial systems, and internal management control and accountability processes.
- Experience in the execution and accounting of multiple agency funding sources, budgets and grants.
