Spanish Adjunct Instructor - Pool
Nature of Duties: Under general supervision prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction, prepares course syllabi; evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports; Teaches
Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the Executive Director when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a situational basis, which may include fall, spring and summer. Postings close yearly on July 31; to maintain your application within the system, you will need to reapply each year.
Minimum Qualifications: (candidates must meet all minimum qualifications to be considered)
· Proficiency in Spanish: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English
· Educational Background: Understanding of teaching methods and knowledge of Spanish culture
· Experience in bi-lingual conversation and translation.
· Technology Skills: Experience with classroom technology and digital teaching resources.
· Cultural Competence: Strong organization, problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Formal training in Spanish/English to be able to translate to either language
· Teaching experience at the postsecondary level
· Experience teaching in an online or hybrid environment
