Safety & Complnc Spec 1

Under limited supervision, the Inspector conducts on-site inspections and preliminary, for-cause, or routine investigations of facilities and individuals licensed by the professional boards to ensure compliance with state laws, rules and regulations.

Essential duties:

• Conduct inspections for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Visit establishments to verify that valid licenses and permits are displayed, and that licensing standards are being upheld.

• Investigate consumer complaints and suspected permit or license violations.

• Operate vehicles safely and within policy limits.

• Use issued and appropriate equipment to document inspections.

• Issue and serve documents for licensing boards.

• Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.

• Serve as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas.

• Maintain current knowledge of laws and board rules.

• Issue copies of reports to inspected entities.

• Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, three years of related experience and a valid driver's license.

Position serves Gwinnett County, NE Fulton, and some surrounding counties. 

Applicants must live near or within one of the surrounding counties.
