Professional Education Worker (POOL)
DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, provide support staff services in the Adult Education/ESL Program.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include:
Assist with new student registration by testing incoming students and/or performing intake duties;
Create and maintain files for all active students;
Administer computer-based assessment to individual students regularly;
Perform other support service duties as requested by ESL Admissions Coordinator and ESL Program Coordinator.
COMPETENCIES:
Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs;
Ability to manage multiple priorities;
Ability to work with the public in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 2 years of adult education experience. Experience in data entry using the Georgia Adult Literacy Information System (GALIS). Proficient on computers, including experience with Microsoft Suite and TABE online.
