Professional Education Worker

The Test Specialist conducts assessment and orientation sessions with students to determine college and/or job readiness. This individual will administer group computerized tests in the Assessment Center labs or on other Georgia Piedmont Technical College campuses, high schools, or centers.

·        Administers ACCUPLACER and supervises examinees for onsite or offsite testing.

·        Prepares testing rooms and launches computers before examinees are allowed to enter.

·        Manages examinees from check-in through completion of test and troubleshoots computers.

·        Prints out test scores and ensures they are uploaded into Banner.

·        Administers ACCUPLACER for Dual Enrollment high school students.

·        Provides accurate and detailed paperwork.

·        Utilizes good problem-solving skills and maintains confidentiality about tests and examinees.

·        Submits daily reports to supervisor.

·        Works efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

·        Able to use varying styles, approaches, skills and techniques that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multi-cultural workplace.

·        Able to consistently demonstrate high quality customer service.

·        Able to thrive in a busy environment and achieve positive outcomes

·        Knowledge of basic computer software, online applications, MS Word, and MS Excel.

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills.
