Shift: 8am-5pm
Job Summary:
Functions as a lead level HA and performs HA duties, assigned to a specific non-patient unit area at a state mental health hospital.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Acts as resource/may mentor lower-level staff.
- Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Serve as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas.
- May supervise and/or direct the work of others.
- Answer clients' call signals.
- Assist in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs, and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids, as directed by a physician or nurse.
- Bathe, groom, shave and dress clients.
- Conduct activities for recreation and socialization.
- Ensure safety and security of clients.
- Feed clients who are unable to feed themselves.
- Implement assigned parts of client individualized treatment and behavior management plans.
